Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers – Dogs on the Run
Brings back memories – saw them on this tour (I believe with the submitter). On the surface, a pretty standard track from this band. What a full sound. Great little riff to start it off. They gave us some great stuff – rest in peace Mr. Petty.
Blossom Toes – The Remarkable Saga of the Frozen Dog
Of a time, fer sure. “Silly little frozen dog.” What a blast this must have been to record. Brings a smile.
“The Remarkable Saga …”/Blossom Toes. A band I’ve never even heard of! A proggish novelty. Very silly and fun. Much admiration for a chilled canine. “He’s got things to do and places to build.”

She said “honey ain’t it funny how a crowd gathers around anyone living life without a net?”
I like that line.
The song: Very Petty average to me…this is my biggest gripe with Petty; he has some spectacular songs and then many that sound like they are grasping for that same spectacular sound again and again (perhaps not explaining myself very well). Good song other than that “petty” gripe.
“The Remarkable Saga of the Frozen Dog” by Blossom Toes. I did smile while this rather silly song played. Mission Accomplished. Very spontaneous sounding.

This round is off to a great start!

TP – new song for me, never heard this one before. Started off a little nasaly, glad he calmed that down a bit. it has a Bob Dylan feel to it.
BT – very different, psychedelic comedy?
