  1. JI- A new listen, very raw, loved the intro

PF- Top 3 Fav Pink Floyd Albums with Animal taking the top spot followed by Dark Side, then Wish You were here,

  2. Jason Isbell – Elephant
Another, heard of artist, but couldn’t have named a song and am not sure what I expect to hear here.
Nice start, pretty. Touching. Spare – letting the lyrics do the work. Earnest.
Note: I think I’ve wanted to add a syllable to his last name – Isabel or something like that.

    Pink Floyd – Brain Damage
“I can’t think of anything to say.”
A lot of my Floyd listening seems to be of their earlier material these days – love me some psychedelic craziness. I still enjoy the classic stuff – this album may warrant a listen on my stereo. “There’s someone in my head, but it’s not me.”

  3. “Brain Damage”/The Floyd. This album is one I listened to all the time in college. A lot less since, but mostly because I’d basically internalized it. A marvel of production, of course, each element distinctive yet meshing perfectly with the others: guitar, keys, strings, voices, sound effects. And the great lyrics, I think, nod tonally to “The Love song of J. Alfred Prufrock.” “The paper holds their folded faces to the floor and every day the paperboy brings more” is among the lines that have stuck with me.

  4. “Elephant” by Jason Isbell

A moving track.. I think I may have picked it or it was on my short list. Sad story telling; poignant.

“Brain Damage” by Pink Floyd: A classic—great to hear it again after quite a hiatus. The entire album is strong from start to finish.
