“Planet Dada” by Yello

This one needs some headphones. This one is a bit odd. This one, oh yea….has all kinds of fun rhythmic noises, bips, bops and other interesting vocal sound effects. This one Fun!

“Astral Plane” by Valerie June

Beautiful song from a wonderful contemporary artist who gets some AAA play. “From other worlds, but you can’t say what keeps you here.” Her vocals remind me a bit of Dolly Parton. Nice understated accompaniment. Pair with Joni Mitchell’s “Woodstock” (“We are stardust, we are golden, we are billion-year-old carbon”).

“Venus & Mars/Jet/Rock Show” by Paul McCartney & Wings

Don’t look for any deep symbolism in this title song; I think it may just be a passing reference, though it comes from the album of the same name. I like the transition into Rockshow and the live version from Wing Over America is really well done.

“Venus Meets Pluto” by Eve’s Plumb
Submitted by Ian

Eve’s Plumb was brought to my attention by watching Beavis and Butthead, They had a snippet of another song and it sent me on a mission to find the album. I used to play this all the time, to the point where my friends would volunteer to drive because they couldn’t stand to hear it anymore. The lead singer then came to the stage years later as “Vitamin C”

“One O’Clock Tomorrow” by FM

From a very enjoyable album that deserves a good stereo listen. My first instinct was to go with the lead cut, Phasors on Stun, but upon spotting the tracks and checking the lyrics, this track was the clear choice. Just a great headphone listen.
